[Creating a Green Steel item] [Crafting recipes]

The shorud crafting is stil the most powerfull and flexable method to craft, but it s a long grind to get it done. You want to plan ahead, its best to start with the recipe(your end goal).

Shrould crafting involves creating a green steel item then upgading it though three tiers in the Shoruld raid using the Eldritch Device.

Step 1) Creating a Green Steel item...

The green steel item gets crafted by:

1. Combining ingredients pulled in chests while flagging for the raid quests and in the slayer zone.
2. Having a Shavarath Stone from each of the raid flag quests.
3. Having or buying a Eberron Energy Cell(the guy that sells them in right by the Eldrich device you use)

• The Eldritch device is located as you come into from the Vale into Merida there is a ramp going down on the right side behind the vendor you see. [Eldrich Device Guide...]
• All green steel items have the Taint of shavarath which is fine on weapons but if you wear 2 items like a set of goggles and bracers it is implied negative effects will happen to you if you do not clense the items(you clense it by doing the raid over and over I think). Not sure of the affect.
• Greensteel weapons do more base damage. Its rediculious that a Dwarwen axe and bastard sword do 2d8(they do require an aditional item to craft from the raid).

Step 2) Upgrading the Green Steel item...

During the Shroud raid you will see 3 Eldrich devices, one for each tier level of your item. Other points:

• You have to upgade you item in order. You cannot just craft a tier 3 level item you have to do the tier1 and tier 2 first.
• The ingredients and shards of power to craft the tier 1 to 3 drop thoughout the quest and at the end of the quest you can go though portals back to the devices.
• You can pull depleted engery cells. They can place be places on Eltrich devices with any high level stadard items out a chest and they will combine to make a powered energy cell.

Crafting Recipes

There are various abilites you can craft. To get the recipes I recommend installing the following utility Interactive DDO Game Guide(formerly DDO Crafting Planner).You will get the recipies and so much more, its an awsome utility.

Some of my favoties are(put the tier values into the utility mentioned above fro the recipes):

Dodge/ Hit point Item(example Green steel googles):
Tier 1: A - +10 hp, +1 Dex Skills
Tier 2: E - +15 hp, +2 Con Skills - +3 AC (deflection), +3 saves (resistance), +10 balance
Tier 3: WB - +20 hp, +3 Str Skills - Elemental Mastery (+1d6 acid, electric, fire, cold, 10-20% for each)

Mana/Dodge/Blur Item (example Green steel googles):
Tier 1: F - Wizardry VI, +1 Int Skills
Tier 2: A - +50 sp, +2 Cha Skills - +3 AC (deflection), +3 saves (resistance), +10 balance
Tier 3: WB - +100 sp, +3 Wis Skills - Elemental Mastery (+1d6 acid, electric, fire, cold, 10-20% for each)

Holy Shock Weapon(there tier 3 is the ba-bomb):
Tier 1: P - Holy, +2d6 vs. Evil
Tier 2: A - Shocking Burst, +1d6 electrical, +1d10/2d10/3d10 on crit - Chain Lightning (3/day)
Tier 3: A - AL - Shock Blast (+4d6 on 20, must confirm critical) - Lightning Strike (1-2% Chance of extra damage, ~600hp)

Acid Earth Grab Weapon:
Tier 1: E - Acid, +1d6 Acid
Tier 2: A - E - Acid Burst, +1d6 acid, +1d10/2d10/3d10 on crit - Summon Dense Earth Elemental (2/day)
Tier 3: A - E - Acid Blast (+4d6 on 20, must confirm critical) - Earthgrab (On-Hit, Reflex DC 35, Held Auto-Crit)
